New Delhi: State-owned defence heavy vehicle maker BEML Limited aims to become a billion dollar (Rs.50 billion) company as part of its vision 2013-14 to coincide with the golden jubilee of its foundation.
Addressing a press conference here Thursday, BEML chairman and managing director V.R.S. Natrajan said the company had set its sights on improving business volumes and expected to cross a turnover of around Rs.35 billion in 2009-10 with an order book of Rs.54 billion.
He said the company had received export orders of Rs.3.04 billion last year, with the major buyers being from Indonesia and Brazil.
