In its endeavor to get the finest of country’s talent on board, the Globsyn Business School, India’s leading Business School has announced the appointment Mr. Pratip Kar as Member of the Governing Council. Mr. Kar will Chair Globsyn Centre for Corporate Governance & Ethics, and also be Advisor-Asian Institute of Family business, the new initiative of Globsyn.
Pratip Kar retired as Executive Director, SEBI in 2006 – a position he held for nearly 14years. He has since been associated with IFC Global Corporate Governance Forum and World Bank as Consultant. He has also served as Dean of Finance and Corporate Governance at the Tata Management Training Centre (TMTC), Pune, where he was instrumental in refining many B schools brains across the world.
His long association with many prestigious authorities and organizations has given him tremendous exposure to corporate functioning. This exposure will help in grooming the students at Global Business School to meet the corporate requirements and heighten the pace of the School to achieve its goal of creating par excellence 'Corporate B-School’ of India.
