Anjanikumar Choudhari elected new TMA President

Anjanikumar Choudhari, President, Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, has been elected as the President of Tractors Manufacturers Association (TMA) for the year 2009-10.  Mr Choudhari will succeed Mr L D Mittal, Chairman, Sonalika Group of Companies, as the new TMA President.

Anjanikumar Choudhari graduated in Mathematics and Statistics and obtained his Masters in Management Studies from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, Mumbai.

Mr. Choudhari is a Member of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Group Management Board.  He is also the Chairman of Mahindra USA Inc. and Mahindra (China) Tractor Co. Ltd..  In addition, he is the Vice Chairman of Mahindra Yueda (Yancheng) Tractor Company Limited, the Company's second joint venture in China and also serves on the Board of Mahindra & Mahindra South Africa (Pty) Limited.

In India, Mr. Choudhari is the Chairman of Swaraj Automotives Limited and Mahindra ShubhLabh Services Limited, and on the Board of Mahindra Gujarat Tractor Ltd., Swaraj Engines Limited and Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Ltd.;.  Mr. Choudhari has been awarded the 'Udyog Rattan' by The Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi for "outstanding performance in the field of industrial development of the country."  He was also the Founder President of the Shanghai India Business Association.

Rohtash Mal, Executive Director & CEO of Escorts Ltd (Agri Machinery Group), has been elected as the Vice President of TMA for the year 2009-10. Mr. Rohtash Mal is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.  He has a rich experience of over thirty years in diverse industries like automobiles, telecom, chemicals, paper and exports. He joined Escorts Agri Machinery Group (AMG) in November 2007 and before Escorts, he was with the Bharti Group for over six years as CEO of their Broadband/landline business as well as the Agribusiness for two years as the CEO.  He is also a member of the Executive Advisory Committee of Simon Business School, University of Rochester, USA.
