25 new launches at Auto Expo by Mukand.

Mukand Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of specialty steel long products in the country. 80% of the special and alloy steel produced by the company feeds into the automobile sector. Critical components such as engine components, power train, transmission components, suspension & steering components, fuel injection systems, bearings, etc. are manufactured from Mukand’s steel.

The company is in the midst of a capex programme to increase its steel making capacity to meet the growing demand from the auto component sector. As India, readies herself to take full possession as the manufacturing hub of auto components to the world, specialty steel makers such as Mukand will have to expand capacity several folds to meet these requirements.

Mukand manufactures a wide range of products in sizes ranging from 5.5 mm to 150 mm in the form of wires, bright bars, wire rods and bars. The company has its manufacturing facilities in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Hospet, Karnataka.
